Wood Sorrel

Oxalis Acetosella

Traditionally, wood sorrel was prescribed as a diuretic for kidney and bladder problems. Today herbalists name it as an external wash, or lotion, in treating skin infections. there is no scientific basis for these claims.

Leaves contain oxalic acid, which may cause diarrhea, kidney stones, kiidney failure, or hemorrhaging if taken internally in very large amounts.
